Website: http://www.axholmeheavyhorses.co.uk/home

Welcome to the online home of Axholme Heavy Horses and Cattle.

We are a small, unique display team who aim to provide the public an insight into the role animals have played in history.

We are a complete package with our own animals, transport, and equipment. The main periods of history we cover are from the 19th century, up to the 1950's. We can cover other periods, or topics out of our normal subjects with a little advance warning and discussion. We also cooperate with other groups and displays and can help provide additional performers and displays as the need arises. We also work in close co-operation with the Royal Air Force Regiment Museum and Association portraying this unique Corps.

Our most requested displays include:

WW1 Forage Corps, Remount Service and Army Service Corps, WW2 Farming and Land Army, RAF Regiment Historical Flight from origins up to 1970, Horse Logging, Working Oxen, Hand Milking, Talks and School visits.

The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment

Website: http://www.thequeensown.com/index.html

The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment Living History Group ( 50th & 97th ) has been formed by a number of like minded living historians who share a passionate interest in the period and the Regiments of Kent.

The Groups first and foremost aim is to perpetuate the proud memory of those who lost their lives fighting for their for their Country. The Group honours the memory of both the County's Regiments, The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment and The Buffs ( Royal East Kent Regiment ).

We are a living history, rather than a battle re-enactment group and our focus is on education and research. Our members dress in period uniforms and equipment in order to give the most accurate portrayal of activities of the time.

We attend events to provide displays of uniform and equipment and we also assist people who wish to find out more about their relatives who fought during the Great War or other related research. We are extremely proud to be associated with, and have the support of the Regimental Museum at Maidstone as well as that of The Queen's Own Buffs Regimental Association.
