The War and Peace Revival welcomes Classic Cars!

Calling all Classic Cars from 1930s – 1960s … We need YOU!

With its move to Folkestone Racecourse for 2013, War and Peace is inviting classic cars from the 1930s to 1960s as part of its new Home Front Vintage Village displays. All classic cars from across these decades are welcomed to come and join in for all or part of this fantastic five-day vintage and military spectacular at its new home at Folkestone Racecourse – formerly RAF Westenhanger.

Classic vehicle entries are flowing in daily and enthusiasts will see vehicles from many different marques to suit all tastes including Rolls Royce, Sunbeam, Triumph, Aston Martin, Oldsmobile, MG, Austin, Rover, Buick, Ford, Jaguar, Chevrolet, Morris Minor, Cadillac, Daimler, Bentley and many more!

The cars will have pride of place on the gentle grounds of the original racecourse in front of the Main Grandstand. So come along and show off your pride and joy to a new and appreciative audience and join in the vintage atmosphere at Folkestone Racecourse.

Entry to The War and Peace Revival is free to classic car exhibitors visiting for the day, while those wishing to camp onsite and join in with the exclusive evening entertainment pay just £25 for up to two adults and two children for the whole five days!

In its new home, The War and Peace Revival will feature an exciting new area dedicated to the wartime Home Front.  Visitors can listen to demonstrations and see displays covering the daily lives of the men and women at work and more importantly those in their homes and volunteering in many roles.  A new vintage market place will be the focus for vintage and retro clothes, homewares and memorabilia, while daily – and nightly – entertainment from the 40s – 60s will give visitors the chance to get “in the mood” and “rock around the clock”!

The War and Peace Revival will be held at RAF Westenhanger Folkestone Racecourse, near Hythe Kent from 17-21 July 2013. Travel to the show could not be easier, with the Racecourse being just 5 minutes from J11 of the M20.

For public visitors, there is ample parking at the site, or Westenhanger train station is just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Racecourse, with direct trains from London Charing Cross and Ashford International. For the weekend of War and Peace the High Speed Train will be stopping specially for the show giving quicker access from London and beyond! The historic towns of Hythe, Folkestone, Dover, Ashford and Canterbury are all within very easy reach, as are the ports of Dover and Ramsgate, and with the Channel Tunnel terminus and Eurostar just ten-minutes away, access is very easy for visitors from the continent. Visitors to the War and Peace Revival can also benefit from a special rate courtesy of our friends at DFDS Seaways.
