Hythe Convoys
The roads of Hythe and Seabrook will be filled with a series of specially assembled convoys during the evenings of The War and Peace Revival festival this July!
The War and Peace Revival plays tribute to all those vehicles that played such vital roles in and around the war years by staging four evening convoys.
The convoys will take a ten mile route that starts at the Racecourse, travels on to Hythe and then goes along the seafront to Seabrook, back past Hythe before returning to the Racecourse.
Event Organiser, Rex Cadman, said; "These convoys are quite spectacular and will give local residents and visitors the chance to see some incredible military vehicles from all over the world. Each evening has a different theme, with different vehicles taking part. So come along to watch and wave as the parade passes by!”
The convoys will set off from the Racecourse at 7pm each evening:
· Wednesday 16th July – Monty’s Pride
WWII British and Commonwealth wheeled vehicles
· Thursday 17th July – Dannatt’s Convoy
Post War vehicles
· Friday – 18th July – Patton’s Parade
American WWII vehicles
· Saturday – 19th July – REO Thunder
REOs and Vietnam-era vehicles
until the next show
